By placing an order through our website, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are written to be clear, not to catch you out.
1. Who we are
Walan Sushi is a sushi restaurant located at 1st Avenue, Nyali, Mombasa, Kenya. We provide sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes for delivery, pickup, and dine-in.

2. Ordering and pricing
- All prices are in Kenya Shillings (KES). Prices include applicable taxes.
- Prices may change without notice. The price shown at the time you place your order is the price you pay.
- Orders are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you to offer a substitute or adjustment.
- Placing an order is an offer to purchase. Your order is confirmed once you receive confirmation from us (via phone, WhatsApp, or the order-status page).
3. Payment
- M-Pesa: Send to till number 3654257. We confirm your order once payment is received. M-Pesa availability depends on Safaricom's network.
- Cash: Available for pickup and dine-in orders only. Cash is not accepted for delivery.
We do not begin preparing your order until payment is confirmed.
4. Delivery
- We deliver within a 15 km radius of our Nyali location. Orders outside this area cannot be accepted for delivery.
- Delivery fees are calculated based on your distance from us and are shown clearly before you confirm your order.
- Delivery times are estimates. We do our best to deliver on time, but times can vary due to traffic, weather, kitchen load, or other factors outside our control. We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control.
- We will contact you if there is a significant delay or if we cannot reach your location.
- Please ensure your delivery address and phone number are accurate. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect information you provide.
5. Pickup and dine-in
- Pickup orders will be ready within the estimated time shown at checkout. We will notify you when your order is ready.
- For dine-in, availability is subject to restaurant capacity. Contact us in advance for larger groups.
6. Order changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel your order, call or WhatsApp us immediately at +254 796 558 336. The sooner you contact us, the more we can help.
Once preparation has started, changes may not be possible. We will tell you honestly whether we can still adjust your order.
7. Refunds
Our food is made fresh to order. Because of this, our refund policy works as follows:
- Cancelled before preparation begins: Full refund.
- Cancelled after preparation begins: We cannot offer a refund, as the food has already been made for you.
- Incorrect or quality issue: If your order is wrong or there is a genuine food quality problem, contact us within 2 hours of receiving it at +254 796 558 336. We will re-make the order or issue a credit — we want to make it right.
- Failed delivery due to incorrect address: If an order cannot be delivered because you provided incorrect location information, a refund will not be issued.
Refunds via M-Pesa may take 1–3 business days depending on Safaricom's processing times.
8. Allergens
Our kitchen handles fish, shellfish, soy, sesame, eggs, and other common allergens.
We cannot guarantee that any item is free from allergens or cross-contamination. If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please call us before ordering so we can advise you accurately. Do not rely solely on the website menu information for allergen decisions.
9. Operating hours
Our ordering website is available at any time. However, we only prepare and fulfil orders during our opening hours. Orders placed outside our hours can be scheduled for our next available slot.
Hours may change on public holidays. Contact us directly to confirm current hours if you are unsure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, Walan Sushi's liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
